Good Luck to our Chicago Marathon Runners!
Two fantastic fundraisers are taking on the Bank of America Chicago Marathon this weekend!
We want to wish Chris and Lorna the very best of luck as they take on this incredible challenge in support of Hospice Isle of Man.
Chris joined the race at the last minute when we had a place to fill at short notice. A keen runner, he’s already completed an incredible six marathons! He also organised a limited online competition to raise funds for Hospice, donating a bottle of champagne and a pair of Liverpool football tickets as prizes.
Thanks to everyone who supported the competition, Chris has raised an amazing £726 for Hospice!
Lorna is also taking on the Chicago Marathon and has already done an incredible job raising £942 before even reaching the start line!
Lorna said:
“I have wanted to run a marathon for my whole life and always considered taking a charity place, so I could raise money for a good cause while achieving a personal goal. Hospice Isle of Man is a cause I would love to support, as other members of my family have raised money for Hospice previously. End-of-life care is such a crucial area to support, so it would be great to raise money and awareness for the charity’s cause.”
A huge GOOD LUCK, Chris and Lorna! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
