End-of-Life Care at Rebecca House

At Rebecca House Children’s Hospice, we provide compassionate end-of-life care for babies, children and young people living with life‑limiting and life‑threatening conditions. We understand how overwhelming this time can feel for families. Our role is to offer comfort, choice and support, ensuring no family feels alone during their child’s final journey.

Choice about where care is provided

End-of-life care can be provided at Rebecca House, at home, or in hospital, depending on what feels right for the child and their family. If end-of-life care is needed at Rebecca House, we are open 24 hours a day to support the child and their family throughout their stay. Families are welcome to spend as much time together as they wish, in a peaceful, homely setting.

Care focused on comfort and dignity

Our experienced team works closely with families and healthcare professionals to manage pain and symptoms, helping children feel as comfortable and settled as possible.

Care is always centred on the individual child and their family, respecting personal wishes, beliefs and needs. We aim to create a calm, supportive environment where families feel listened to and cared for.

Our care extends beyond the child to the whole family. We support parents, siblings and loved ones emotionally and practically, both during end-of-life care and after a child has died.
